If you’ve been getting the pop-up “The System Is Badly Damaged”, it is definitely a false alert and a misleading advertising caused by an adware. Be wary not to be tricked by this scam. Once you allow its “fix” to be downloaded on your computer, expect that you will be barraged with invasive ads.
Clicking the ‘download’ button will attempt to commandeer your browser search and homepage. The virus will then send you to malicious websites to get money from you or infect your computer further. It may also prevent you from changing your settings back.
The adware responsible for this scam is usually installed through bundled software without you knowing. Remove it immediately.
